RE: Closing of "Future without trucks" thread

I agree w/Jeff and Kelli it probably is political but unless these post are abusive, completely negative,or flat out just bashing someone I feel it should stay.I know if my water heater is broke or I'm looking for the best sewer hose or anything rv related this is the place to come but I might want a 4-wheeler,jet ski, fishing pole, info on personal protection or maybe ask if the camper / truck I drive might even be made next year.Who knows a rep from Keystone or a employee from gm might sign on w/his opinion on the matter. That's what makes this place so good, lot's of real experience answering questions and lot's of opinions too.If you don't like what your reading move on to another topic,it's that easy.

RE: Closing of "Future without trucks" thread

It seems like the sensativity level on this forum has raised quite alot.I checked out that thread and whether I agree or not why boot it?It's just opinions and untill it gets out of hand let it go.Alot of $$$ being made on this forum(adds everywhere)so I don't think it's a good idea to keep booting threads unless for a good reason and then at least pm the person and give him a reason.Alot of good info here and I like a good opinionated thread every once in awhile.

RE: Winterizing newbie!

I don't think I would worry about it,but to answer your question I don't think it's a big deal at all and only about $20.00 for me to winterize.I think I would just drain the water heater, all low point drains and keep all faucets open.If it's only getting down in the 30's and then right back up in the morning you should be ok.

RE: Help??question winterize/city water connection

Dennis,
Thanks for the quick responce,I looked at it w/a flashlight and it seemed to be ok when I pushed on it.When I get back in town I'll look a little closer maybe it's not seating correctly but nothing seemed to be interfering w/it.Never had that problem before.THanks

Help??question winterize/city water connection

Every year I winterize my 5er w/no problems and tonight at the last min. I decide to get it done before I leave for the weekened(5er staying home)Headed to Fl. for a couple days.Everything was good until I noticed the pink stuff going away faster than it should. It was comming out the city water connection.I've always had to poke at it just to make the pink stuff come out of there.I pulled the screen out and poked at it but it still let the pink stuff flow right out.If its broke what needs to be replaced?I got it winterized but used more pink than I should have.

We stayed in KOA's on our trip to Fl.All were good,no problems. The Koa in Statesville N.C and one in Fl. had people living at the campground but no complaints. We go to the KOA in Fredericksburg,Va. all the time for a quick get-away...It's very clean!!well kept and the staff friendly/helpful(man I should get a KOA discount card for that plug)Have a great trip!

I signed up awhile ago, thought it was a great fitment guide and looks to be adding more information all the time.I've never got any emails from them(so no big deal giving them my email)your email helps them monitor how active the site is.

RE: 20" Wheels and Trailer Hook Up?

I know on the 4x4's the 20in. tire is a 275/55r20 and the factory option for the 2wd is a 265/65r18 so the 20in. tire size should be the same as the 17 or 18 in diameter. No problems w/towing your trailer, like you said just get the right drop on your ball-mount.

RE: Darnnit--another season over

I know how you feel!!We started the season out great, early spring out a few times then one 9 day trip to Pa. then a weekened out just me and my 2 boys and then it was like every weekened something kept us at home.I'm not ready to winterize just yet,I want at least one more weekened before I'm done.I usually don't winterize until mid Nov. anyway and it's not like it cost that much to de-winterize and do it again when I get back.I'm always ready to get away for a weekened no matter what the weather but I guess I'll face reality and get ready to park it.My daughter starts travel volleyball soon and then there is no chance at camping then but lots of fun watching her play.
